Ard Struijs Is a senior intensivist of 49 years working at the Erasmus Medical Centre Rotterdam Netherlands. He is a specialist in internal medicine and intensive care for more than 15 years. He developed the ECMO program in the Thorax Centre and did his PhD on Steroid induced Osteoporosis. His areas of interest are Temperature Management, Endocrinology, Prevention and treatment of infectious complications and development of new medical technology and treatment modalities. He has more than 10 years’ experience in using temperature management in Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest and Operating Theater. He has been Medical Director of Multiquest which is a hands on venture capitalist in Health technology and Biotech. He has a broad experience on Cardio-thoracic Surgery and cardiology related intensive care including heart and lung transplantation.
